Follow these tips to get the most accurate results from our AI-powered identification:

Hold your phone steady or use a surface to stabilize. Blurry images make identification difficult. Wait for the camera to focus before capturing.

3. Close-Up Focus

Get close enough to capture fine details like marks, stamps, or engravings. The identifying features should fill most of the frame.

4. Clean Surface

Gently clean the item before photographing. Dirt, tarnish, or residue can obscure important markings. Use appropriate cleaning methods for the material.

5. Plain Background

Place the item on a plain, contrasting background. A white or black surface helps the AI focus on the item rather than the surroundings.

6. Multiple Angles

If the first photo doesn't give good results, try different angles. Some marks are easier to read from certain perspectives.
